The Necromancer is a class you can unlock by finding the Necromancer in the dungeon and bringing him safely back to the tavern.
He cannot use guns but can use pets and spells. 
Building a large skeleton army at the start with easy monsters with your hand attack. 
The pets can be petted to stay.
He can also cast summon skeleton, but they are very weak, the pets hit very hard and swarm.
The skeletons seem to get stuck at the first entry of a level so you will need spells to survive.
